Key Features of Selawik Airport

We are working to rehabilitate the airport in Selawik, Alaska. Located in northwest Alaska, the village of Selawik is not accessible by road and relies heavily on its airport for year-round passenger flights, freight, mail deliveries, and critical medivac services. Improvements to the airport will help ensure that operations remain safe and reliable so these essential community services can continue uninterrupted.

Public meetings were held in Kotzebue and Selawik on October 28 and 29, 2024. Learn what we heard during these meetings here.
